2 funny things Campbell said

1. "Campbell where is your toothbrush and toothpaste?", says Momma. Campbell says, "Um, standing up right behind the door where I put it." She has her toothbrush and paste standing up perfectly in place right behind her bathroom door. I guess that is where a girl puts it when she has brushed her teeth over 5 times today! Dr. A would be so proud! :)

2. Campbell is in bed and not supposed to talk to me anymore after we say goodnight. She had been laying there for about 5 minutes and called me in there. I went in and said what do you need Campbell? She said "look". And she was pointing to her empty hand. I said what is it? She said, "I have a hand that needs a toy in it. You know I have to have a toy in my hand when I go to sleep." Well, thanks to the super fun party we went to today, we got an awesome goodie bag that was filled with fun toys. Which one did she want? The sunglasses. She took a book instead!

I DID IT!!!!

I did my first 5K this morning!!!! I have been practicing like crazy and I hit my first goal!! My goal was to run a 5k by Labor Day, but I decided to push it up a weekend b/c Labor Day is so busy!! Bob ran with me and it was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better running partner. He kept me up to pace and told me what my time was the whole time! I don't even really know how to use my watch, so he did it all for me! Love him! So, I finished in 31:19 and am so proud of myself! I had great supporters (Mom, Campbell and Ray)!!! Thanks for coming to watch me! I can't wait to do more!

Campbell's First Day of school!

Campbell started a new school this year. We are so excited about it! We decided to move her from her Montessori school because it was a little far, she had to wear a uniform, and we needed longer of a day. So, this school opened 2 months ago and it is everything that we wanted and more!! It follows a Montessori curriculum (even though not labeled a Montessori school), no uniforms, and all day is all day!!! Oh, and it is only .2 miles from our house! So far Campbell just loves it and we love it too!!

Update before school starts!!!

We have been busy on our last week off before school starts- for Campbell and I both! We got our hair cut, new shoes and school clothes, and making sure we don't leave Daddy out!!! We have had fun this week! Saturday morning we went to Dallas for a another baby shower for Melissa. It was nice not being in charge so I got to relax! I guess that means I didn't do very good in the picture taking either! Oh well! Then we went to The Boring's and had a great dinner with our friends! The kids played, and played, and played until they just couldn't do it anymore. I mean, I was so proud of all of them for playing so well, and only a few minor tears!! I will update after I get Campbell's first day of school pics, we are soooo excited!

Austin for the weekend :)

Ray and I went to Austin for the weekend! We hosted a baby shower for our dear friends, Scott and Melissa, and it was so much fun! We got there on Friday and we met our other great friends, Jennie and Cole for lunch! Jennie just had baby #2 and he is a doll. I'm just sorry that he was asleep the whole time and I couldn't love on him. We had such a great weekend getting to celebrate baby girl Clark (yes they won't tell the name). I can't wait to meet her!!

Updates on Campbell and the nephews!

Leslie and I have been trading babysitting lately and it has been great! We love having the boys over and I know that Campbell loves going to see Aunt Les (and Uncle Bubba :)). Here are some fun pics!

My dad is in town on business! So great to get to hang out with him and he can see the grand kids! PA is a LONG way away. Although, every single airplane, train, helicopter that we see is going to Pennsylvania!
He's a crawler!! I mean, I couldn't keep up with him! I would turn around and he was gone. I love him!

It's SOOO hard to stay mad!

So, we have been doing SOOOO great with going tee-tee and poo-poo in the potty! Campbell has been making such great progress and we are so proud of her! Well, tonight we had an accident. Campbell watches Dora before she goes to bed and drinks her milk. So, she was laying on the chair watching when I came in and checked on her. She said, "Mommy I'm all wet with tee-tee." I about had a heart attack! Oh, I forgot to mention, I asked her 2 minutes before she did this if she needed to go potty. And of course the answer was NO! Well, we cleaned it all up and I was NOT happy at all.

So, we are getting on a pull up to go to bed and we are talking about how we ONLY go tee-tee in the potty and not in our panties. The reason we don't go in our panties is because we don't want to tee-tee or poop on the princesses or Dora (that makes them VERY sad)! So, I was telling Campbell how sad Dora was for getting all wet and that I was going to have to call her and tell Dora that you were not a good girl for not going tee-tee in the potty. Campbell looks at me and says with tears in her eyes, "Mommy, I will talk to Dora and tell her that I am very sorry and I will only go tee-tee in the potty like her and that I ruined the couch."

I mean, how do you stay upset with that?????? It was the cutest thing that she has said and I totally think she is heartbroken for getting Dora all wet. So maybe I went a little overboard with calling Dora and stuff, but hey, whatever works!!! My sweet Campbell :)

What's been going on...

Here are some pics of what has been going on at our house! We have been swimming like crazy. I got Campbell this life jacket and it is great! She gets too brave and just jumps in the pool without warning, so safety is best!! If you need a jacket, I recommend this one. The little swimmies are "illegal" at our pool, so this allows them to swim just as freely!

Ray and I got Campbell a fish! She has been asking for a cat for awhile now. I have thought and thought about it, and if you know me, you know how I feel about cats. So, we have ended up with a fish! Campbell picked Ariel out and helped Daddy put her house together. She is so excited to have her and tells her good night every night and sweet dreams. I hope that this lovely Betta lives as long as everyone else that has one has lived!

This is the best purchase that we have made in a long time!! I mean, she LOVES this thing! It is really funny when she is jumping b/c she wants to sing songs and count. Well, I think it is hard to do 2 things at one time b/c she can't remember the orders of alphabet or counting when she is jumping so hard. She skips around and gets mixed up. When she stops jumping, she is back on track and counts to 20! Love it!! Campbell likes to get one last jump in before it is time to go to bed! Hours of fun and she has only fallen off of it once!

Happy 30th Kesha!!!!

Kesha turned 30!! Yeah, another person on the upward slope! We celebrated Kesha's bday at Joe T's and it was of course fab! It was great to hang out and be around our friends and the kids had a great time. I took a ton of pictures of them b/c they were being so funny. We ended the night back at the Smith house for presents and cake. yummy!! It was a great time and I hope you had a great birthday Kesha, and being in your 30's really is the best ever!!
